Filmed in multiple locations In Transit traces the primary western migration route across the Mediterranean to Europe. Produced in collaboration and through a series of conversations with British asylum seekers and refugees at The Boaz Trust Manchester. The artist embodies the positions adopted by a migrant ‘in transit’ and performs these movements within the public realm in site- specific locations. The perfomances are recorded on HD Video and presented as a moving image installation with sound. The work is intended to be performed in locations across the Mediterranean. So far, the artist has performed this work in Casablanca (Morocco), Tangier (Morocco), Algeciras (Spain), Menorca (Mediterranean).
